The Developmental Support Services Program was established to assist adults diagnosed with a developmental disability to live independently in the community.
The goal of the Program is to provide a service that will enable these adults to become full participating members in the life of the community. Services provided are determined by the program participant based upon his/her personal goals.
Service users are empowered to determine which services best meet their individual needs. Five key component of the program include Case Management, Advocacy, Emotional Support, Crisis Management and Lifeskills Training.

Our program is free to anyone who could benefit but you must be referred to us by Developmental Services Ontario.
We are located at 1166 Roy Ave, Sudbury, ON P3A 3M6 and our office hours are Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm. Evening and weekend services may be available.
You can receive services from our program for as long as you need them. The frequency of contact with you will depend upon your needs.

We serve adults with developmental disability and their families or caretakers who are looking for a supports and the necessary resources to live a healthy life in the community.
Lifeskills have taught me how to stay organized, stick to a schedule, and how to keep my place clean.
I’ve used my passport funding to take cooking classes and go to Canada’s Wonderland.
My worker has helped me get to the YMCA and use the gym to work out.
My APSW (adult protective service worker) helps me with my life goals, everyday needs, finances and money decisions.. she helps me with everything!
My worker helps me with support in attending personal appointments with specialists and other medical appointments.
My workers treat me with respect.
I have learned to use the washing machine & dryer at the laundry mat and also how to cook new recipes with my life skills trainer.
My Lifeskills trainers help me with cleaning, cooking, and grocery shopping.
I like to go to paint socials with my passport funding.
Lifeskills has taught me how to remain clam when things get frustrating.
I use my passport funding to go to the movies, bowling, train museum, the Imax theatre, concerts, and hockey games.
My APSW helps me live independently.
